"Imagine you have 2.5hrs between first contraction and a baby coming. You barely make it to the hospital and have no pain management because labor is progressing so quickly, and you are having a hard time breathing. You’ve never met this on call dr before, but, Dr. Goodreau walks in to catch your baby. But first she scolds your to pull your mask up over your nose. No other options, no oxygen, just that you need to cover your face, while your birthing fluids are gushing out and a baby is literally crowing, unmedicated. The next day, you’re in the bliss with your newborn and Dr walks in to check on you. She doesn’t comment on your birth, but just asks you why you aren’t vaxxed. She won’t leave your room until you ask her to please leave, because she’s too busy telling you what you should do, even though you literally met her 5 hours ago while pushing out a human. If this is the experience you want, I highly recommend Dr Goodreau. And if you want a different experience, I highly recommend any other doctor or midwife at the hospital."

"Dr Goodreau is clearly passionate about helping women have and care for healthy babies. However, I absolutely cannot recommend her as a practitioner if you suffer from endometriosis or adenomyosis. I was under her care for eight years and complained consistently about what I later learned are hallmarks of both disorders. She never once connected the dots. When I finally demanded a screening in March of this year because I suspected I had endometriosis and was tired of chronic pain and being unable to conceive, she ordered an ultrasound in-clinic and proceeded to tell me that she did not see any endometriosis on the ultrasound and would not recommend me for surgery unless she could. There are issues with this. First, endometriosis and adenomyosis don't often show up on medical imaging. Second, when they do it takes an expert eye to identify them and they're usually identified on MRI, not ultrasound. Third, endometriosis can only be diagnosed through laparoscopic surgery which her clinic is not whatsoever qualified to do though they offer it. (One of her colleagues does ablation but not excision, which tells you that the practice's level of competence leaves much to be desired.) I self-referred to endometriosis expert and MIGS and fellowship-trained surgeon Dr Nicholas Fogelson of NW Endometriosis and Pelvic Surgery, who performed surgery on me in June. The result was pathologically confirmed endometriosis out of every location he excised from. My bladder was absolutely coated in it. Six months out, my pain and other symptoms have almost entirely resolved. All that remains is the adenomyosis, which at this stage is manageable because the endo is no longer exacerbating it. It should be noted that at my appointment in March I asked Dr Goodreau to transfer my chart with her notes and ultrasound findings to Dr Fogelson for review to see if I was indeed suffering from endometriosis. Dr Fogelson informed me that she had left a note on my chart that strongly recommended against surgery, saying I was not a good candidate for it. That's a rather low blow, trying to block your patient from receiving care elsewhere. Luckily Dr Fogelson did not let her recommendation interfere with his good judgement and the surgery proceeded. If you are a healthy woman who gets pregnant easily and requires breezy routine care, Dr Goodreau is a great choice. I am also told she diagnosed an acquaintance's cervical cancer and in so doing saved her life. However she is a very poor choice for women afflicted with endometriosis, and we make up 10-15% of the world's population. If you suspect you have endo, please choose another provider. You will not receive well-informed care from Dr Goodreau and she may even actively attempt to delay your diagnosis and treatment as she did with me. I understand she is leaving her practice at Mt Hood Women's Health to go into the hospital system. If so, I hope she considers this review for the future steps in her career and any other patients like me she might encounter. I deserved much better treatment than I got from her and Mt Hood Women's Health regarding what was a painful and debilitating disorder."

"Dr. Goodreau is an amazing doctor. She has been my doctor for almost 4 years now and deliver both my babies. She is very caring and thorough. Always kept me informed of what I needed to be aware of during my pregnancy. She always answered all my questions. When I was concerned about my health or my child’s she always found time to see me that same day. I am very happy to have her as my doctor. I recommend her to all my friends and family. Thank you Dr. Goodreau for being with me every step of the way with both my pregnancies."
