"Great ruins of what used to be the dining hall for the original quarry that was located here. You can see other quarry ruins directly across the street. The building is gone, but the original floor is there and you can walk underneath to some rooms that were probably cool storage rooms. The original furnace/stove is still there. I wish there were some interpretive signs and maybe an original photo to go along with the ruins. In fact, there is not even a sign pointing these out! I found them through Google Maps! The picnic area and the glacial grooves are across the street. Walk around the area and you will see other ruins from the quarry I really enjoyed explaining the building and walking around the structure with my son"
"Absolutely love historical landmarks in this area and this is definitely a history lesson straight from the books of Kelly's island take the family over here for some adventure of the past check it out and be safe"
