About the Business
The Lorain County Historical Society, located at 284 Washington Avenue in Elyria, Ohio, is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich history of Lorain County. Our mission is to educate and inspire present and future generations by serving as a respected hub of learning about history.
At our institution, all people are encouraged to discover and develop a passion for the past, engage in relevant study and educational experiences, and make history a meaningful part of their lives. We are supported by Ohio Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the federal ARP Act of 2021.
Visitors can learn more about us, our mission, vision, and values, as well as how to get involved. We also offer publications such as "Lorain County Sacred Landmarks Initiative" by Jim Jablonski, available in paperback and spiral-bound formats.
