"This is a wonderful place to get on your feet. If you follow the rules, you can stay up to 3months or more. As far as shelters go, this one is luxury. You can leave your belongings during the day and once you are a client you are gaurunteed to get a bed every night. The rules are not hard to follow nor are they unreasonable. The assistant director is a wonderful woman, negative reviews reflect the previous leadership. Safe place for those in recovery from addiction as well."

"I parked in the parking lot of friendship house to make a call for an abused friend to see if they had room for her. A girl came up to my car very rude asking me what I was doing there, she did even give me a chance to answer. Friendship house is anything but friendly, I've stayed there and it's a nigjtmare. Office staff are street people and medications came up missing, I had a broken back and had to go up and down stairs, was told that I couldn't rest my back and worked doing dishes,cleaning the kiychen,vacuuming and other people's jobs,I was told that if I didn't do the work I would be kicked out,all this while my back was broken with four vertebrates. The bible study is s tv show, no compassion and no guidence. The staff take the donations and help themselves first,giving only to who they favor. Everyone that leaves this place has called it hell. It's my opinion that it should be closed or under different supervision. Beware of friendship house."
