Brave Care Pediatric Urgent Care

"My son was showing signs of an injury today, but I had no idea how it had happened. My primary advice nurse recommended to go to the Fracture Clinic in Shriners hospital which specializes in orthopedic care. The doctor basically squeezed his arm a few times then sent him for x rays. Said nothing was wrong and to come back this weekend if it doesn’t go away. When I went home I knew something just wasn’t right… his arm was limp and he would cry if you touched or moved it. After talking to my friend who’s a nurse and putting some puzzle pieces together we thought he may have nursemaids elbow. We decided to go to the nearest urgent clinic and from the moment I walked in I just felt like I was in good hands. The woman at the front counter was genuine. It wasn’t just a “fill these papers out and take a seat” like most places (including this morning). She listened to my concerns and made me feel like I was at the right place. The woman who took my son’s vitals was so sweet. She took her time, acknowledging that my son was only two and making him feel comfortable through every step. Then there was Blake… he first greeted us in the waiting room by pulling up a chair and chatting which I just felt his genuine concern in my son’s injury. He was SO good with my son. Making the whole visit as fun a playful as possible. He told me that my son was showing textbook signs of what we thought it may be (nursemaid elbow) and was able to pop my son’s elbow back in place. My son was in absolutely no pain after! Using his arm again within minutes. After spending the whole day at the doctors so confused with what was going on and no answers I just balled my eyes out… Such a great staff, especially one to be working with kids and worried parents ❤️"

"We were very pleased with our experience here. We live in a small town with 1 “immediate care” that is hardly ever open. We happened to be in the Beaverton area for a family day. We started noticing our daughter’s eye become more and more irritated.
