The care is proactive and preventative rather than reactive and curative. The communication spectrum is shifted away from a Dr ordering tests and then prescribing a course of action towards engaged interaction with questions that lead to unique approaches tailored to the unique person. Patients are seen as whole human beings where health includes psychological and spiritual as well as physical dimensions.
