"I will never go back to Dr. Nishiyama! He is short and impersonal. He performed the WORST pap I have ever had, which is saying a lot as I am 40 and have had 4 children. He didn't talk me through the procedure. He was VERY rough with the speculum and the cotton swab. So rough that I could feel every swirl of the swab inside of me! Then he quickly said he wanted to check my uterus and shoved his fingers inside of me before I could say or do anything. I would never recommend this man to anyone! It was a nightmare! Then it took a month and a half to get the results from the pap!"

"My husband and I were just remembering dr. Nishiyama and so I wanted to see if he was still practicing here in Washington and he is! Man he was an excellent OBGYN to me. I was young newly married like 21 yrs old and had my first miscarriage and I went on to have 2 more under his care and he and his nurse Rachel handled me so delicately. He made sure we did everything to help me try to have a successful pregnancy. He did eventually send me to a specialist where I got pregnant and after the 12 weeks gestation thumbs up from that RE, I got to go back to Dr. Nishiyama for the duration of my pregnancy and he got to deliver my first son, Harper, during the 2007 flood, actually! That boy is a handsome healthy 16 yr old now. We moved away for my husbands dental school and I went on to have 3 more babies and no more losses. He was by far my most favorite doctor though. Maybe because of what I went through and how I felt he handled me at one of the hardest times of my life. I’d love to see him again someday. I’m over in Tumwater and go to Kaiser, BUT…. He rocked in my opinion. And I’m sure he still does. * What made me bring up this doctor tonight was my talking about a memory seeing his nurse at a concert when I was visiting WA one summer and she remembered my name and came up to me so sweet and my brain was trying to place her where we were currently living not WA where we actually were, and I couldn’t for the life of me remember where I knew her and forgot her name. It bothered me for the longest time and obviously still does! Because like I said, they were with me during one of the hardest times of my life of course I knew who she was, she was Rachel! And she will never know how great of a nurse and how great of a doctor I thought they were and how grateful I was for their care."

"Dr. Nishiyama is a wonderful doctor. He took his time to listen to my concerns, and was very kind. He has a great bedside manner as well. He made me feel very comfortable throughout my entire appointment. The entire staff was wonderful! The medical assistant, and the receptionists were all very friendly. I highly recommend going here!"
