"This place of Vegetables and Meats is Family owned / operated by a one, Carlos Dennis. Fine, great swell of a man. He is the nicest person. And so are the rest of family. Better prices and quality hands down. They keep a tight ship. The Chorrizo is the best I have ever had. He has trophies on the wall type good. Not a joke. The best. ( No added fats, the flavor is bold while not over powering, it goes with everything. Yes, even ice cream or peanut butter, coffee excetera excetera. (The Picoso is the "Spicy spicy hot" style for those who enjoy having your tounge on fire, eyes watering and nose running.) All thanks to a master of the meats. His name is Arturo. He will do almost anything to make a happy customer of you. He also creates Al Pastor to die for. Ready for the skilit in your kitchen. Like, alot better than take and bake pizza night. You can get all sorts of things there. Like, sugar cane stalks. Hats, ice, soda's and beers. But not a convenience store at all. More of a passion to it. Ask for there personal recipies and you'll see for yourself what I can't explain, when doing the place justice. I give there house made Salsa a big 11 on the "Spinal tap" scale. The place is definitely worth the stop each day. They open by 8am and close at 9pm. 7 days a week. It shows through when people enjoy what they do for a living and it's evident with La Mexicana in Odell."
"Better meats at lower prices than I've seen in long, long time. They also have a good veggies section and quality authentic Mexican products. However the best part of La Mexicana is their help. The butcher is way cool and a great chef. ( His Chorrizo is killer! ) The owners make their own salsas and carnitas. Beer, sodas cheeper than most anyplace too. I wish I could vacation there. But no beach...."
