"Can’t believe I didn’t make this review sooner. My family has been going through a1 for as long as I remember and it has always been such a great experience going through them. Their customer service is always spot on and amazing, same goes with their communication. Their work is fast and reasonably priced. I’ve always recommended my friends to this shop and I have never heard of a bad experience from them. The only thing I wish they did differently is work on newer bmws but I’ve done some work on mine myself and I can’t blame them for not wanting to touch them lol. However, with that being said they have done some smaller maintenance on my bmw I had like refrigerant for ac. The team at a1 is like non other shop I’ve been to."

They aren’t trying to push services and parts on you that don’t need to be replaced. And the owner kory is super nice. He’s always gone out of his way to help me with me car. 10/10 recommend"

"A-1 Automotive is the best shop I have ever been to. I love this place. Bryan is the best most honest mechanic I have ever met and I am incredibly helpful for their work on my car. I was having a long time issue on my car and they were up front and honest with what it could cost. Bryan produced a detailed and accurate quote beforehand and the job ended up being very close to the quote. Thank you so much for fixing my car and now it runs like new! I just couldn't be more grateful for your work."

"I cannot recommend this shop. You want to feel your auto repair shop will go above and beyond and have your best interest at heart, and we didn’t experience this here. My husband and I have been taking our 3 vehicles here since we moved to SE Portland in 2022. We never had a bad experience until we needed the transmission replaced in our van. Because of the high price of the service, we were disappointed with the lack of communication. We were having to call with updates and didn’t feel well communicated with throughout the process, especially in regard to the total cost of the bill. After the transmission was almost ready to be installed, we get a call saying we have to pay $500+ more to get the warranty of the transmission... we feel backed into a wall and we have to pay it. After all is said and done, our final bill is $2,000 more than we originally expected. We hoped reaching out to the owner would offer some remedy or make us feel better, which could have kept us on as customers. Instead we were told the pricing discrepancy between the estimate and final bill was a miscommunication between us, husband and wife. It was a frustrating experience that didn’t make us feel valued as customers and we ultimately are deciding to move our automotive care elsewhere. I am not saying they do bad work, it was just a bad experience for us."
