"I regret having to write this review, but sharing my experience may help others when deciding to choose a repair shop. My 2012 VW Passat suddenly started idling rough (72K miles) and I called on 1/12 about getting my vehicle serviced the following day. They said they could get to it if I brought it in in the next morning and left it with them. I dropped it off on 1/13 at 9:30 am for them to diagnose the issue and quote any needed repairs. At 3:30 pm, the service advisor, Tim, called to ask if they could keep the vehicle over the weekend. They had apparently not had a technician available to look at the vehicle until 2 pm and said that they needed more time to diagnose the issue. I agreed to let them keep the vehicle. 30 minutes later Tim calls back and said that the technician had found several diagnostic codes that were showing errors, but needed more time to better understand the issue. He said that I could take the vehicle back for the weekend and I agreed to do so. Upon returning to pick up the vehicle Tim said that he and the tech were really perplexed as to what the issue was and said that they were trying to research it. The tech notes on the invoice state "Can replace sensors for camshaft as a first step, but stretched timing chains are a common issue with this engine. Recommend camshaft timing check." I was advised to go home and to do my own research based on the codes provided (two of which I had already determined with my own equipment). I was not provided a quote to preform any repair service at the time (Tim said he would do so first thing Monday, but did not). I was however charged for 2 hours of labor at $149 per hour and $23.84 for Shop Supplies / Environmental Fees. The total was $321.84. I was never told that I would be charged to simply diagnose the issue prior to any repairs being preformed on an hourly rate in advance. Nor was I advised that I would be charged for supplies to do so. I was simply trying to get my vehicle repaired. I am disputing this charge on my credit card and will be finding a different shop to service my vehicle."

"I had a fantastic experience at Marque Motors. I came in with a burnt out brake light bulb and they showed me how to replace it, which was great for me as someone who is not too confident in fixing things on my own car. They changed out all of the rear lightbulbs and I was in and out in about 15 minutes, saving me from having to drop off and pick up my car later. The cost was extremely reasonable as well and they were honest and very friendly. I'll definitely be going back to Marque Motors in the future!"
