Nikki helped me with the insurance issue that I had. I felt she went above and beyond. I cant say enough kind words about everyone in the office. I am a new patient and they made me feel very welcomed, very comfortable."

"Insurance went into place and I had moved so decided to change dentist after 30 years. Exam with Dr Lee in Feb 2023; Dr Lee seemed very confident and wanted to replace an old crown. Scheduled service and arrived in for replacement to be informed Dr Lee was no longer employed and no one seemed to know where he went. As a result, I felt hesitant to move forward (then thought, how bad could it be), but Dr. Pham completed old crown removal and prep for new crown in June. Temporary fell off everyday for over two weeks. Had visited two other Gentle Dental offices and found the process to reglue the temp was not consistent. Each office had a varied process and each office seemed to have new employees (seems turnover is very high). Returned to Happy Valley office to have Dr. Pham complete crown seating. New crown was uncomfortable, bulbous on lingual side, deep cavern on top surface. Returned two weeks later to have new crown checked and Dr. Pham said he could replace it. It's very uncomfortable, soft food gets stuck in the top cavern. I didn't have a good experience and didn't have confidence in Dr. Pham. So, I asked the receptionist to refund my payment in full so I could go to another dental group. Received notice after weeks of waiting that I could go to another Gentle Dental office for treatment. Due to the lack of consistency in treatment given at the offices I had visited I again requested a refund. I received a nondisclosure document to sign (every day for six months via email) before a refund would be issued indicating that I would not hold Gentle Dental responsible for the poor service received. I refused to sign and Gentle Dental has not issued a refund. Had to contact my bank to become involved due to the poor service received and Gentle Dentals refusal to offer a refund. Overall, wish I had never tried this provider. Buyer beware! Trust your gut... high turnover and lack of consistent processes are a red flag!"

"My Advice - believe the bad reviews about the front-desk staff. My normal office is the Woodstock location, but I needed a long-overdue cleaning and Happy Valley had earlier appointments, so I drove 30 minutes (instead of the usual 5 minutes) to get a cleaning sooner. The receptionist was nice at first, explaining that x-rays would be necessary (which I expected). So I asked if I had the x-rays at Happy Valley would the Woodstock office have access to them. At which point the woman started to repeat why I needed x-rays, so I stopped her (which apparently irritated her), and explained that I just needed to know if the Woodstock office would be able to see the x-rays, at which point she started to explain for the third time why x-rays were necessary. So I stopped her again, explained that I didn't need her to give me the same explanation three times - my hearing is just fine - that I just wanted to know if the Woodstock and Happy Valley offices shared data (so I wouldn't have to take x-rays again at Woodstock later), and that I didn't appreciate her repeating the same thing over and over again, making me feel like I was an idiot (all in a normal tone of voice BTW). At which point she refused to help me any further and walked away in a huff. So I waited for the dental hygienist (not for long), and she seemed very friendly and helpful, but apparently the receptionist had told her there was an issue with the x-rays, which wasn't true, and I explained what had happened and that I was fine with the x-rays. At which point the hygienists told be that she couldn't do the cleaning at this appointment because of the x-rays.... Say what?? I'm 65 years old. I have had near 100 dental cleanings in my lifetime. Every time I needed x-rays they would take them and then do the cleaning. Not one time, including the last 10 years at Gentle Dental, have I been told that they don't have the time to do x-rays and a cleaning in the same appointment. Gentle Dental Woodstock has repeatedly taken x-rays at the same appointments as the cleanings. So I waited six weeks for an appointment, and drove 30 minutes each way, only to be told that I would need to wait another six weeks and drive another hour just to get the service I was there for. So I told the hygienist, calmly and reasonably, that the situation was very upsetting, and didn't see the point of letting them take x-rays and not get the cleaning I needed. Then I left. What I didn't say, is that there was no way I was going to subject myself to that unprofessional and juvenile receptionist staff again, just to come back for a cleaning. I'll wait the extra time until Woodstock has an opening. So if you want to risk an unpleasant and condescending experience with the reception staff (don't just take my word for it - see previous reviews), and being required to make two appointments just to get x-rays and have your teeth cleaned, go to the Happy Valley location. If not, try Woodstock."

"Absolutely a wonderful staff and Dr. This was definitely a place to smile. The staff just was awesome, answered questions, and was really helpful making the next appointment. The girls up front make sure to acknowledge you if having to wait. The Dr, my first time meeting her, I love, not in a creepy way. She's very direct and friendly."
