The Local

"This is our second visit here, first time for dinner. We had friends from out of town that we were meeting for dinner and a movie. We suggested the Local. Our movie was scheduled for 6:25. Our friends got there at 4:50 and grabbed our table. We were seated at 5:02. This was New Years Eve. The bar had a few people, not full by any means, and the front seating area had one other table when we were seated. We ordered 4 adult meals, 2 kids meals and 2 appetizers. Our appetizers final came at 6:18. Chips and queso and pretzels took an hour and fifteen minutes. Our meals came out about ten minutes later. We had to ask for utensils. The wings were extremely under cooked and had way too many feathers on them. Two of the adult meals never made it to the table. We really wanted to support this local business, but we were left embarrassed to have brought our friends here. And hungry. The only reason I’m leaving two stars is because the bartender finally learned what happened and she was apologetic and accommodating and took off most of the bill."

"Was greeted immediately upon arrival.. seated, informed about today’s specials. Our server was PRESLEY, she was AMAZZZING! Presley answered all questions with a smile and although they were extremely busy- not once was she frustrated and even suggested some food and drink options. Our food was delicious and their margarita flight did not disappoint! We will be back for sure! Keep your money local, support small businesses.. especially at such an establishment with wonderful customer service and food! See you Soon at “The Local!”"

"I liked going to this restaurant until I ordered wings. The wings are big. But they should’ve been plucked the feathers off of them plus cooked a little bit longer.I place them in my air fryer and cook them for another 15 minutes .So those who want to eat the skin of the wings have to fight with the feathers that have been fried on while they were cooked, it takes my appetite away by avoiding wings. It makes you don’t want them anymore because you don’t want to fight taking off the feathers while your trying to eat then.If they were clean before they were cooked, why didn’t they notice the feathers all over them. Very disappointed on the wings. I called them up at the restaurant, and they said that they were working on that problem by taking the feathers off of them. As if they have workers who don’t really want to spend time taking the feathers off before they get cooked. Their other choices of meals are good, but I haven’t been back since, and probably won’t again."

"Came in and loved the vibe! Was greeted really friendly, and it didn’t feel pushy at all. The waitress gave us plenty of time to order, app came out quick and then the rest of food. There was plenty of time to enjoy the app before the main meal came out. Would have liked to hear the specials during happy hour, but it was still a great spot and would come again!"

"Amazing takes on American classics! This place has the best brunch in Yelm and it's not even close! All their dishes are perfectly seasoned and their drinks pair well with their food offerings. Their bar-height seating is easy to access and they've usually got room in the back to the left of the bar if you have larger parties."
