"Earlier this winter on a trip to Hood River, I stopped in an interesting-looking shop: Immersion Research. On a whim, I asked if they had any leftovers from their manufacturing for a nonprofit I support (Fill a Stocking, Fill a Heart.) I was given a bag of strap pieces that we use for tote bags, wheelchair bags, and walker totes. I kept in touch with one of their employees, and when I returned there last weekend, they had a HUGE box ready for Fill a Stocking... full of strapping, plastic sheeting pieces, and fleece. The fleece will become neck gaiters and children's mittens for winter warmth and I see a deep dive into Pinterest to put the plastic to use. Thank you, Immersion Research, for your generosity. By the way, their gear is awesome!"
