"Amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, not crowded any day of the week with ample parking in a walking distance. Large kids play area, restrooms, and showers along with kayak rental all on site. The waves are usually higher than other San Diego County beaches, so be aware of that."

"Beautiful beach with a kids playground near it. Parking can be challenging at times so come early in the day or be prepared to walk. Depending on the tide you may or may not be able to walk north or south on the sand as high tide brings the water fairly close to the cliffs/rocks."

"Pretty cool beach. They have decent bathrooms and outdoor showers. There was a little Cafe and playground. I rode my bicycle and they had plenty of good bike racks, that were buried in the concrete, not just loosely bolted in. So I felt comfortable locking up my bicycle, along with all the other bikes. They also had volleyball nets."

"Moonlight beach is one of the best beaches in Southern California! Calm waters and plenty of space for everyone. During the summer months especially, this place gets really crowded, but the sheer size of the beach accommodates all! The beach is mostly clean and kid friendly."
