"My husband and I have had our income taxes prepared by this business for years. They used to have an office in Modesto. But they moved the office twice and then closed it altogether. We then had to drive to Turlock which is over 20 miles away for us. I feel loyalty like that should be rewarded not exploited. We've always paid about the same amount each year to have our income taxes done with the occasional increase. However, we had a meeting with Kevin Berger about paying capital gains taxes on an investment. We provided the figures and it was something I probably could've done myself with a little research. He prepared a single page scenario for us in regards to these taxes. I feel as if this took very little time to prepare and nowhere near what it would take to do our annual tax return and yet we received a bill in the mail for well over twice what we pay for our annual income tax preparation. The bill seems very unreasonable and outrageous. My husband and I were shocked and perplexed. My husband called and left a message for Kevin Berger in regards to this statement. Instead of the courtesy of a return call we received yet another bill shortly after for even more money. Now there's an additional service charge. We are done with this business and Kevin Berger. And we hope in providing this information we can save others from having such a bad experience."

"I worked for berger for about 9 months as an office assistant and it was one of the worst jobs I ever had. Kevin is the owner and he is horrible! Rude, always yelling and swearing at you for stuff that you didnt even do, or he cant make up his mind and takes it out on you. you do more than what your job title is and dont get paid well at all! sally is just as bad, they are all just extremely rude. STAY AWAY!"
