"I spent two days in Crescent city waiting out a pretty nasty storm. When it broke we finally left our hotel and headed south on the highway, towards the redwoods. Our first stop was this beach and wow was it impressive! Living on the coast of Maine I’ve seen a lot of pretty beaches but I was stunned at how epic this beach was! Someday when I’m back in this part of the country I’ll definitely return!"

"We love this beach! It's often windy but so beautiful. You can look at tide pools, see whale spouts, find driftwood, and just relax. Never too busy even on the nicest day. We let our dogs off leash to run and have never had a problem!"

"I don't much know how a beach could get more perfect. Splashes of tides whirling about scattered eroding headlands, gobs of thick gray sand to exercise your leg muscles, tidepools to explore, large drift logs for lingering picnics, and even a sign that answers the question, Where is the restroom? (Half a mile down at another amazing beach.) Bring your dog or kids or sweetheart or grandparents or all of the above and enjoy social distancing at its finest. Easy beachfront parking. Paths to the beach are walkable if you can do sand. Enjoy this special place, but do be mindful of rogue waves and/or the mighty current. It is simply stunning."
