"This was our first time hiring a maid service so we went to the provider with the most reviews, unfortunately we didn't experience the same as others and are left confused and disappointed. We ordered a "Double Deep Clean" including "Inside the Oven" and "Scrub Tile and Grout". We have a 2B/2Ba apartment that is ~1,200 sf. We paid +$350. Our maid was here for just about 3 hours, so we paid over $100 an hour for the service... While our maid was very nice and did a good job with the appliances (sinks, oven, bathtubs, etc.) in the unit, overall it was incredibly (I mean incredibly) overpriced for what we received. Considering we ordered the "Double Deep Clean" (which has no real description of what we would receive), we expected a really deep clean in return... There are streaks and crumbs still on our floors, our couch has stuff on it and doesn't look like it was vacuumed, and there are scuffs on the walls that were not touched. Additionally an item of ours was broken in the process and while I understand mistakes, this combined with the other frustrations was worth mentioning. To be honest, the a-la-carte style of ordering on their site feels more like a money-grab than convenience. It feels like a way to just charge more per item that a lot of our friends' cleaners just include in their typical servicing. It's hard for me to believe that majority of the +$350 we paid is going to the cleaner which leaves me guessing where most of our money went to when we don't see the value in our cleaning. For those that don't notice, it says that Aloha Maids is a referral service on their site and when contacting customer support they keep saying "referred cleaner". Seems like Aloha Maids is a marketing agency that contracts out/refers cleaners in the area, meaning you pay Aloha Maids a cut that doesn't go toward the cleaning. That's all fine if the quality is good, but with the price we paid and the service we received, it makes me think that cut is much larger than necessary. The two stars is solely to the cleanliness of our appliances, other than that we could've done a better job ourselves in less time and less money. EDIT: Aloha Maids did reach out regarding the situation and gave us a partial refund for our issues."
