Jose Diego's Dog Grooming

"do NOT go here- all these reviews are NOT lying. Saw this place was one minute away from me and thought to try it out but never again.. ill drive an hour before I go back to this place. The second they took my dog from me (my dog stays in a crate when im not home) my dog was refusing to get into their crate and right away started shaking and the man grabbed her by the collar and dragged her by the collar and leash and shoved her into the crate.. that's not even the worst part.(they had not even asked for her name). After seeing how terrified my dog was, he would not even let me be inside to see my dog. If she was okay or not, he forced me to go outside. Looking through the window, I saw the guy pick my dog up just by her leash pulling up on her neck and put his hand underneath her, picked her up by the leash and stomach. During the wash, he was pushing her neck down so hard and manhandled her like she was an object. Sprayed the hose straight into her face and ears and held her by her snout so he could spray the water into her eyes. (No conversation to make any dog feel safe). They got halfway through and said they couldn't complete the service because my dog "didn't like" it, left my dog soaking wet .. AND THEN TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY FOR IT. Leaving the place, my dog won't even let me touch her neck and keeps crying. This place is traumatizing to dogs, rather than making it welcoming they have your dog sitting in crates stacked up on each other, barking and shaking, I saw six dogs today just in a crate and they will injur your dog. Dont do this to your fur baby. Horrible place, DO NOT GO HERE."

"Always does a great job!! My 2 Chihuahuas get soo dirty and yeasty and these guys do a fantastic job cleaning them up. I have 1 dog that everyone is terrified to trim his nails but these guys get it done. Dogs are always happy and clean when the get home. Prices are very reasonable and they are always to fit me in even on short notice. Great groomers!!"

"I took my poodle dog to JOSE DIEGO last August 31st for a regular grooming. I left a healthy dog and I got back a super stressed dog in pain. I took her to the emergency room because the pain was so excruciating that she couldn’t even laid down. At the vca west la they told me that her neck got injured as the result to a heavy pressure on it. Today it’s been almost a month and my dog hasn’t recovered: I had to run to the emergency room a couple times more in the middle of the night because my dog doesn’t get better. I’m taking her tomorrow to a neurologist because according to the vets that saw her so far she migh need spine surgery. I beg you to consider never take your dog to that grooming place. They denied everything but the don’t have footage cameras inside the place. They don’t ask for vaccinations records. I took my dog over there because some people whom I made the mistake to trust to recommended me that place. It’s been a nightmare seeing my dog suffering this way. At Jose Diego grooming place they manage dogs brutally and our dogs cannot tell us how :( I’m desperate to see my dog suffering so much Feel free to contact me, I’ll tell you about what happened to me over that place with more details M"
