"On August 13, 2015 and upon the recommendation of my ex-wife’s attorney, William Benjamin, I stipulated to having Dr. David Green serve as the “reunification therapist” between myself and my two teenage sons. I filed for divorce from my ex-wife in February 2015 and shortly thereafter, my sons with whom I had shared excellent father-son relationships stopped talking to me, something I attributed to parental alienation tactics by my ex-wife. Dr. Green met with me and my ex-wife (a physician) but unfortunately and according to my ex-wife, my sons refused to meet with Dr. Green. Dr. Green abruptly resigned his court stipulated appointment as the reunification therapist by email sent to me, my ex-wife and William Benjamin, her attorney on July 14, 2016 citing that he was doing so since nothing substantive had occurred. We learned through a subpoena of my ex-wife’s banking records that something substantive had actually occurred. Dr. David Green received a check from my ex-wife’s medical corporation for $5400 on July 13, 2016, the day before he resigned. He received a check for an additional $1200 from my ex-wife’s medical corporation on September 2, 2016 and another $150 on December 20, 2016 (a total of $6750). Dr. Green gave in my opinion inaccurate testimony during his 35 minute deposition on December 7, 2016 relating to family law matters and never volunteered that he was effectively on my ex-wife’s payroll through her medical corporation and had received thousands of dollars that might have influenced his testimony in favor of my ex-wife. Apparently and unbeknownst to me at the time, Dr. Green had met with another of my ex-wife’s attorneys on August 18. 2016 for a 1 hr interview that her attorney had summarized in a sworn declaration on October 26, 2020. Dr. Green wrote a sworn declaration on November 4, 2020 agreeing to the accuracy of my ex-wife’s attorney’s sworn declaration that was in fact directly contradicted by Dr. Green’s own deposition sworn under oath four years earlier. Dr. Green testified as an expert witness on behalf of my ex-wife during a three-day restraining order hearing in January 2021. The restraining order sought by my ex-wife was denied by the courts and the checks written by my ex-wife to Dr. Green prompting his resignation as the “reunification therapist” were exposed at trial. As a physician myself, I consider the ethical violation posed through the withdrawal of services prompted by an undisclosed payment by a conflicted second party who later retains that individual to serve as their own expert at trial to be a serious offense. Dr. Green is currently under investigation by the Board of Psychology."
