"Dr. Terrazas Is pediatrician to both my two daughters and I think one bad review of him should not be judged, i have had great experience with kaiser permanente, Dr.Terrazas and his staff team are so nice! he explains everything thoroughly with you and also gives clarity and support, comfort for any worries you have about your child, he is the best pediatrician in la mesa clinic. He always asks permission to examine the child physically and respectfully and if he doesn't then it’s probably because it slipped his mind at the moment. He is phenomenal and we love him! my girls love him and i also, recommend him! he knows how to approach his patients in their level of language with fun and silliness, its one of my favorite thing about him! he is a great! Five stars over here!!"

"Hello, I am writing to submit a complaint about Dr. Ives Benjamin Terrazas. My son had his 6 yr check up this morning and it was the most unpleasant visit I have ever had since being a Kaiser patient for the last 10 years. Dr. Terrazas was very rude and was unable to make my child, who is struggling with anxiety, feel comfortable around him. Dr. Terrazas was also disrespectful. He said things to my son like, 'I can speak Spanish and I probably speak it better than you'. He also called my son a 'pollito', which means chick/little chicken in Spanish when my son refused to speak to him because of how uncomfortable he felt.. He pulled my son's pants down without asking me or my son if we were ready to examine his private parts. He didn't ask for consent. He touched my son roughly, and didn't explain what he was doing to neither of us. He seemed annoyed by my son. We teach our son about consent and if my child doesn't feel comfortable doing some things, that is something we need to discuss. Dr. Terrazas was unable to see how my son's anxiety was affecting this visit. Dr. Terrazas presented himself as patronizing, unwelcoming, and rude. I switched my son's provider right away. I do not recommend him."
