"This vet was on my list to check out for my new dog due to proximity/office size and good reviews. Had an urgent issue today, and they really came through for me and my baby. I am looking forward to this being our new vet going forward. Really nice and caring staff. Dr. D is great, a real animal lover, and a good caring person. I owe you lunch!!"

"I brought my boyfriend and I's kitten here to be checked up on as he was born very small, and his mother was not feeding him. The lady whom was at the front desk was very short, and did not listen to the information we were giving her about our kitten. After repeating her questions we had answered twice already she says the doctor will be with us and has us sit down in the lobby. When the doctor did call us into the room she asked us the situation and when we explained our kitten wasn't being fed by his mom and had diarrhea she told us he had parasites. We keep our momma cat inside and this baby kitten had never been near other outside or inside cats except his mom (who did not have any parasites whatsoever neither does dad cat) she proceeds to act with pity after we ask her what can we do she only says "oh well we can run a test for parasites" "his survival is very low chance" she did not give us any advice or information on how to continue to care for him and she goes on to tell us how much our visit will cost. Not once did she or any other staff say what we could do to help our kitten or what we could give him to help his stomach digest. We end up taking him home and I take him with me to Petco where the staff there was more informed and prepared to give me milk for his food and a paste that really helped his appetite. Along with a small toy he still plays with to this day that contains catnip. It helped his appetite and alertness. He is now healthy and active. The moral and point of my comment here is to say this vet staff was NOT helpful NOR hopeful to our situation. Since this and after taking him to Petco I found the lady AT PETCO was more informed and very helpful about how to care for my kitten he is only alive because of the information PETCO staff gave me. NOT this vca staff. So please do not come to this clinic if you're hoping to save or care for your animal."

"So I’ve taken my kitten since she was 7 weeks. My first visit was amazing. However the last visits have been super impersonal. Felt more like a quick pay and get my kitten vaccinated. This can definitely work for some however not for me, especially since it’s not cheap here. Plus my drive here is about 30 minutes from my home. I gave them 4 stars because I do admire how clean and the receptionists are always super sweet. I have already found another vet that is closer to me so I will take my smaller kitten there."

"I rescued 2 sick kittens. The next day I called VCA La Mirada and they were able to get me in that morning. I have used a different popular vet in Whitter for a while, but over the years it has been harder and harder to get in, not to mention the cost of this vet. I was so happy to be able to take the kittens in immediately. The office was so clean and the staff was amazing. I was not rushed and every thing was explained in detail. The office was also able to give some resources for the kittens and their feral parents. It was a refreshing change from vets in the past. I even received a follow up text to see how the kittens were doing (never had this before). The cost was also very manageable. Thanks La MIrada VCA :)"
