"I had good experiences with Barbara. She helped me through a lot. However, she was fairly open about her dislike of psychiatric medications, which are a must for me. I also suffer from Agoraphobia, and if you know what that is, you know you're never going to make it to every appointment. She berated me for not coming to appointments even if I would pay for the entirety of the appointment. It wasn't something I enjoyed doing, canceling that is, but something I HAD to do. It made me feel doubly awful to have my therapist make me feel bad about it too. Oh, icing on the cake, her dog attacked me and broke skin. And even after being SO nice about this happening, she STILL berated me!? I am with a new practicitioner now that has helped me realize she perhaps is a therapist for someone dealing with life issues and not true mental illness. I agree."
