"Work is in progress. Tomorrow the mapping and lining of the remaining clay line will take place. So far so good. The majority of the line was replaced 20 years ago with 100 year plastic pipe so, the work is ongoing in an isolated area. There are two issues with the line, one is the connection to the original clay pipe is showing signs of failure and the second is that the original remaining clay pipe is restricted but not to the point of collapsing. The restriction is somewhere beneath the sandstone deck. The lining option is preferred over demolishing the deck, where sooner or later that would probably be the only option."
