"On Tuesday Oct 3 2023 I took my bike to Chain Reaction Cyclery to have the rear inner tube replaced, it had a leaking valve stem. She did the work and I took my bike home and rolled it from my truck into the garage. When I looked at my bike the next day I saw that the rear tire was flat again. I called the next day and explained the situation to the same woman who I presume to be the owner. She seemed sorry and told me she could fix it while I wait if I bring it in. I couldn't get back to Appleton for a few days so I had to wait through the weekend and brought it to her on Tuesday. I assumed this work would be gratis since I already paid her once to replace the tube. She seemed perplexed as to what the problem could be while she was working on it. She told me Bontrager has some funny shaped rims that just aren't compatible with some tubes, or something to that effect. A few years ago I had replaced the inner tube on the same rim with a tube I picked up at the local hardware store with no problems. She decided to put another rim tape over the existing one for some reason, even though it was still in good shape. As she was finishing up she casually mentioned that she used a little wider tube this time to see if that might help. I think that probably translates to "I decided to use the correct size inner tube this time." She ended up charging me for the new rim tape which was most likely completely unnecessary to begin with. All in all I was initially impressed with her availability. I ended up being unimpressed by the number of times she needed me to drive in to Appleton and pay her to get one inner tube replaced correctly."
