About 3 or 4 months in, I told Glenn I'd like to be able to read music. We started on that journey and now I can play a number of pieces by reading the notes. Glenn teaches you how to do things and then, with practice, you find yourself able to do it. He's very knowledgeable, capable and fun to take lessons from.
