"Great selection of boats, including single and double kayaks, canoes, and SUP. Everyone who works there is super nice and helpful. This place needs a water bottle refill station and/or a drinking fountain. So far, I have only kayaked. I want to try the SUP and will do that soon and update. Have been out on a SUP several times. Has been challenging and fun. The crew at Brittingham has been super helpful. Another fantastic paddle in August. Saw a guy on a paddle board with 2 dogs on the board. He was throwing a ball into the lake and the dogs were swimming back and climbing onto his board"
"Brittingham is a fabulous boathouse! The staff are always kind and fun. The music and events are great and their guided excursions are definitely worth it! It’s a relaxing spot in the city to squish your feet into the sand, relax on the grass, and of course, paddle!"

"My favorite place to kayak in Madison. The staff are always kind and accommodating. I recommend going in the early morning or evening when it’s not too hot and the sun won’t be beating down on you. The waters are usually nice and calm and great for people who have never gone kayaking before. Life vest provided but not required to be worn. Staff help you get in and out of the kayak. Great views of the city and wildlife (birds mostly)."
