Hayward Family Eye Care

"They're rude. VERY RUDE. They are unprofessional. They Lie. One of the worst if not the worst interactions I've had in Hayward. For starters I called them in July 2023. The appointment was set in November 22nd 2023 at 1:30Pm. I am on the spectrum so I remember things very specific things. Today Nov 16th 2023. Ironically just a week before my appointment they CALLED me. And said my Insurance doesn't cover it. "GUESS WHAT" they said it did and that an appointment was made. They said we never made an appointment. If that's the case then why would they call me just one week before this "Appointment" ?????? Think about it. KEEP IN MIND I GAVE THEM MY INFORMATION, The only time I called them July 2023. "They have my information" Logically at any given time they could have called a lot sooner. But instead just a week from my "appointment" they called me and gave me some made up junk about how there never was an appointment. They made me wait for months for an appointment and then lied about it pretended that there never was an appointment. I am on disabilities. This is the most scummy thing you can do to a Local. And I have autism. Please seek eye care else where. I was hung up on during my first over the phone interaction. And the 2nd time, likely the same person was even more rude and was also lying. Please for my sake don't support this business. They'll make you wait for months just before the deadline appointment only to Truly Screw you over and set you back another 3 to 6+ months for a "SIMPLE EYE EXAM" for a Disabled adult. And then deny the initial appointment that was made nearly 5 months ago. They don't deserve 5 stars. With the way I was treated."

"Very friendly staff!! I had a mishap and stepped on my eyeglasses. They fixed fixed my bent eyeglasses and did not charge me. That tells a lot about a business. Thank you!!!"

"I'm up in Hayward 4 hours from home and my right contact just rips in half. It was my last contact. I looked up eye doctors near me and Hayward family eye care was the first one. I called and asked if they had trial contacts in my prescription. They were able to hook me up free of charge and help me out despite never doing business with them before. Very professional, I recommend. I'd definitely go here if it wasn't so far from home."

"I called this morning after my young daughter broke her glasses. Not only did Karen reattach the arm and a nose pad, but she did it at no charge. Wonderful service and we will be back!"

"I visited Hayward over New Years weekend to go snowmobiling. When I went to put in my contacts I realized I had grab my sons instead of mine. I panicked as I cannot wear my glasses under my helmet. I called Hayward Eye Clinic and spoke with Karen and asked her if they would have a trial pair of contacts that I could purchase if I had my prescription sent over to them. She was kind and helpful and said they would absolutely help me out. They had trials in my prescription and when I went to pick them up she just gave them to me (2 pairs). I could not believe it. I am not even a customer of theirs and they helped me out and were so kind. I am so appreciative as it made my weekend. Thank you for the great customer service."
