"We came in the store (seemingly un knowledgeable compared to their expert workers). Silver helped us out and assisted for every detail from the test ride to explaining how to transport it in a car. Silver went above and beyond in every circumstance and provided both pros and cons for additional “luxury” items. We ended up walking out with a beautiful hybrid bike and recommend them to anyone looking. Ask for Silver!"

"Bought a bike here in August, they had it ready for me to pick it up when they said it would be ready. Purchasing the bike went well. When you get a bike here it comes a free tune up within the first 3 months. I called and scheduled a tune up near the end of the 3 months and explained that I was coming from far away so I wanted to make sure I could get it done that day. The person I spoke to told me to make sure I told them when I got there that I drove from far and I needed it that same day. The soonest they could give me an appointment was 2 weeks later. I got there at noon on the day of the appointment and let them know I needed the bike that same day , they said they'd let the techs know. At 5 o'clock I checked in on the progress of the bike and they told me they were not going to be able to do it that day. I couldn't get back to Davis the next day so I took my bike and left. They told me I could reschedule. Today I called to reschedule the tune up and asked if I could schedule on a day when the bike would for sure be done that day. The person I spoke to told me that even with an appointment there is no guarantee it can be done that day. He told me that he "can't stop the entire store to work on my bike." I never asked the entire store to be stopped. I'm a little confused as to what the point of scheduling an appointment 2 weeks in advanced is if they can't do the work on that day. I gave 2 stars because buying the bike went smoothly. Not completing the tune up the first time was annoying but things happen. The attitude I received when I called to reschedule was unacceptable. I was trying to work with Ken's but only got attitude. What is the point of scheduling appointments if you can't keep them?"

"Took a very used snowboard in for a tune up and the ski department guy was outstanding. He went through the different levels of tune up and clearly explained how each would help the board. Ended up getting the deluxe tune up to fix deep scratches in the base, redo the edges and fill in small holes with epoxy. When i picked the board up the same guy (long hair super friendly) walked me through the tune up again. Even the epoxy on the top was color matched to the board. Just a really good experience. I have also gotten a variety of bike parts and from the shop and every-time I feel like its fair price and great employees. Havent been to the other bike shops/ski shops in Davis but dont need to to know this one is the best."

"This is an awesome shop, serving the community well. My sister had the unfortunate experience of having her bike stolen and Robby at Ken's Bike shop helped her replace her beloved bike with a perfect fit. He listened and was kind and generous with his time. This place is a gem!"

"Was in need of a repair on a sunday afternoon and my bike is my only method of transportation. i decided to take the 40 minute walk to this shop because i saw that it had good reviews and people had positive experience. I wanted to make sure my bike was taken proper care of since i use it every day and the service definitely lived up to my expectations!I was given a run down of what was wrong with my tires, shown the options for new ones as well as prices, given a rough cost estimate, and then told it should be ready within an hour and a half of dropping it off. Both tires were splitting, detached from the rim, and in need of new tubing. I was completely ready to make the walk back to where i lived and then come back another day to pick the bike up, but was pleasantly surprised when they said it’d be done so soon! The new tires are super nice and the ride is smoother than ever, so i will definitely be coming back in the future for all my bike needs."
