"Biggest airport in county but Little River Airport apparently beats It in length by 49'. Sulphur, Redwood, and Potter fires of 2017 had as many as 18 helicopters working here. Pawnee Fire by Indian Valley Reservoir in June 2018 brought USFS's N109Z '69 Bell 209 AH-1S here. Same helicopter here for Mendocino Complex River and Ranch fires in August 2018. One of those also came here from North Pass Fire out of Covelo in 2012. Photo of N2FH taken at 8:25 AM. N32AT and N71AA taken on 8/2?/18"

"Coming out of Sacramento Rowdytown, I didnt see anything scary about this place or anywhere else in Ukiah. There was not enough of anything but wide open sky to worry about, A quiet unassuming small town like several others in Medocino and Lake counties. I like visiting there,"
