"In receiving an MRI for my elbow, the tech actually injured my shoulder, requiring me to get an MRI on it (at a different facility). How a trained tech would not recognize that I was being contorted and hyperextended such that I have a damaged rotator cuff and a month later I still have nerve damage... When I asked afterwards about alternatives, she said that there are places with larger MRI machines that would have made it easier. UPDATE: I filed a complaint with the Mequon office manager, and his response was that I could have chosen to not have the procedure. As though a patient - whose doctor has said he NEEDS the procedure - is going to say no to it because it's uncomfortable, or even painful. My colonoscopy is painful; should I just not do it? He also replied that I could have gone to a different facility with a larger machine. AGAIN.... As though I'm supposed to know about that being an option? Lastly, I asked if they could adjust the fee, not only because of the injury, but given that I was required to get a second MRI only because of that. He said that I received 2 MRI's, so I was responsible for them both. Run, don't walk, from this facility."

"They overcharge a lot for the services (if you have an insurance), so I recommend to find freestanding facility that provide similar services. And when you talk to the customer service, they can't do anything about price..."

"This afternoon I went to RAYUS for an MRI. Wow. The staff was INCREDIBLE. They made sure I was comfortable, and that I was “all good” during the MRI process. I’d go back again. HIGHLY recommend!"

"This is an interim review until I can update it. I came here for 3 MRI's. I’d already gone over the kinds of problems you can encounter in MRI machines when I'd made the appointment. But I was asked to fill out a sort of medical history form here that it turned out was really to further screen for potential dangers in MRI's. It turned out that I use a product that IS a problem...so I had to reschedule my MRI appointment. That's my main reason for writing this review! Because it’s something others should know about too. I use a wound care gel by Curad called 'Germ Shield.' It contains silver which is considered 'Antimicrobial Silver,' because it works as both an antiseptic & antibiotic to speed healing. There are many products on the market today which contain antimicrobial silver. Antimicrobial silver is also known as colloidal silver. Most of the time people know when they are getting something that contains this ingredient because they specifically seek it out...but not always. Which is why I wanted to mention it here. I hadn’t used any of the silver antimicrobial gel that day and had showered so none should have been present on me...but they were still concerned enough to convince me to reschedule my MRI's. Their concern was that the gel product could seep into my pores and there still might be some silver present. They recommended discontinuing use of the wound care gel and allowing one week for my pores to expel any remaining silver. Apparently if there were particles of silver in my skin they could get very hot and actually cause burning during an MRI! The name of the product I’m using is 'Curad Germ Shield,' and I use it instead of Neosporin because it’s clear and doesn’t block the LED therapy lights that I also use. I added a photo of it. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful and I look forward to coming back to complete the MRI's my doctor ordered in a week!"
