Castleridge Trailhead -- Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park

"Limited street parking only, so get there early if you can, but the Alviso Adobe Community Park now has open parking available (across and down the street). Two clean restrooms are at the trailhead. The Coudet trail is a nice and intense warmup, with 900 feet of elevation gain in the first 1.9 miles. We took the beautiful and moderately challenging lollipop loop through Courdet, Shady Creek, Sinbad Creek, and Ridgeline trails. I would highly recommend hiking this 8.5-mile loop in the Spring and Fall. The Spring widowers were gorgeous and plentiful in April 2023. Hot dry Summers or wet Winters in this area would be less than optimal due to the sun-exposed dirt trails and steep dirt slopes."

"Very beautiful area with an easy to moderate hike. The trail has both sunny and shady portions that makes it enjoyable even during peak summer days. There is a good chance that the trail maybe close off during rainy season this winter due to washed off trail sections."

"This 4 mile back and forth trail from the gate to the top of the hill is perfect for a short and quick hike. With a total elevation of around 1000ft this moderately difficult hike can be done with l kids. There is plenty of shade on this hike, unlike Pleasanton ridge hike. Once at the top, it gets relatively flat. Also, there are many more trails that you can venture into from the top of the hill that connects to Sunol on the south side and Dublin canyon road on the north. This hike is very popular with hikers, mountain bikers and runners."

"Pretty nice trail to overlook Pleasanton area. Many of the sections were not covered by shades, and a few were still a bit muddy (hiking shoes recommended). Close to the intersection with the trail from Moller Ranch, you could even see SF downtown from far far away! Roadside parking was free but limited. There was a another parking though said for Adobe visitor only."
