"I’m Greek and have been living in the US for over 30 years. This is the only place that tastes like home. Don’t know how they do but amazing food for the price. I tried the Souvlopita and the meat was tender and fresh. The side Greek salad tasted…..well….Greek! I had the amazing Honey/Tahini Greek Yogurt for dessert…dreamy. I’m going back."

"One of the best Greek meals I've had ever. The serving sizes are great and the ambience is superb. Shout-out to the very pleasant staff and their service etiquette. The owner gave me a complementary froyo treat after my meal. Such a delightful dining experience!"

"You know when you just want a quick bite but don’t want to go to a drive-thru or wait through a sit down meal? This place was quick and delicious. Order at the counter, no fuss. Atmosphere was clean, bright and inviting. Staff was kind and considerate. Will def be coming back! I had the gyro sandwich. Pita was fluffy and soft, the lamb/beef was so tender and juicy and every last bite was just perfect."

"Kalamaki Greek LA, the newest addition to South La Brea has undoubtedly lived up to the anticipation. The window display of their food created quite a stir in my belly every time I walked by on my way to the yoga studio. We planned our first visit two days in advance. When we arrived, it took us a minute to decide on what to order. We landed on the beef and lamb gyro in a pita, alongside a scrumptious pork gyro in Vromiko bread. The flavors delighted our palates and the meat was cooked to perfection. Swapping a portion of fries for a salad added a fresh counterpoint to the rich meal. They graciously offered us tastes of their frozen yogurt and it was, in a word, divine. Rich, creamy, and with just the right amount of tanginess, they stood out. However, a note on the pricing - while the yogurt itself is a treat, its cost might raise an eyebrow, especially with Yogurtland on the same block. That being said, I’m sure their ingredients are higher quality and I'm definitely intrigued to come back and explore their variety of toppings and try their homemade Greek cuisine."
