"Your staff is great and the facility is well maintained. Your lease agreement is the most verbiose, one sided niece of legalese that I have ever come across. If there was ever a dispute regarding the terms of the lease, the tenant’s side would probably prevail as they could argue that the shear amount of language in the lease deemed it incomprehensible Do yourselves a favor and simplify the lease so that the average person can understand what they are signing"

"I’ve been a tenant at 1801 for almost a year and plan to move out at the end of my lease. The leasing and property management staff have been kind and responsive, but many problems arose, which I’ll detail below. Firstly, the AC was broken for 4 months during summer. For 3 of those months, the AC was leaking so badly that it was like it was raining in the apartment; this happened every night for those 3 months. There were 7 different attempts to fix it, resulting in a very weak but functional new AC. No compensation was offered for this burden and massive inconvenience. I wanted to leave, but there was a $5,000 lease break penalty fee, and in the end, I could not justify paying it. The unit I reside in is on the top floor (heat rising) and has west-facing windows (lots of light), which was a real disadvantage. I wouldn’t recommend residing in that part of the building unless you don’t mind 80+ degrees temperatures in your apartment accompanied by high utility bills because you have to run your AC nonstop. Secondly, the most notable recurring issue has been dealing with the many unpleasant smells and fragrances that are unfortunately a part of everyday life here. If you are sensitive to smells or fragrances - I would not recommend living here. The property has automatic fragrance dispensers in the hallways, which triggered my migraines. They did turn off the one by me at my request. But I understand the reason they were motivated to use the spray; the hallways do not get any outside airflow, which causes smells to linger - garbage, floor cleaning chemicals (also triggered migraines), or what your neighbor made for dinner last night. In addition, the laundry vents are located right next to bedroom windows, so the incredibly strong smell of my neighbor’s laundry fragrance (again migraines) wafts through my apartment. Opening a window or sliding glass door only makes it worse. Of course, these are building design flaws and are not easily fixed, so I understand the challenge of addressing these problems. Overall, I gave 3 stars because the staff who work at 1801 are good people, and they helped me get out of a less-than-ideal situation when I moved here. However, the many challenges I had to deal with during my tenancy made the experience of residing here sadly less than ideal as well. Again, for all the poor people whose health and well-being are affected because of smells/fragrances, you have been warned by a person who does not want to see anyone else suffer."

"I had the fortune of staying at the 1801L apartments back in 2021, and I can attest, they were top notch accommodations. I still look back fondly on those times. Not only were the halls and amenities clean and well-maintained, but the overall experience was one I’d expect from a brand-name hotel. Management is responsive, professional, and truly want to help. 10/10 would recommend to a friend."
