"My son had a well visit scheduled at 11 am. 4 days prior, I called because he had vomited but it turned out he just overate. The morning of the appointment at the very last minute, the staff called at 9:30 am to say I have to arrive early at 10:45 to do a rapid covid test for my son and to call from the parking lot so someone could come out and do it. I arrived at 10:45 and when I was parked, I called the office. It took 4 tries to get through, I was put on hold twice and got a voice recording once before I got in. By the time I got through and someone came down, it was 11 am, and they said they were now canceling my appointment because I would miss my appointment time since the test results would take 20+ minutes. What a waste of time! This office is unprofessional and this is NOT the first time scheduling has been a problem. If you are not a busy parent and love to make multiple trips to the doctor’s office and not be seen, this is the place for you. If not, go elsewhere. Not to mention also that my son HATES coming here; he starts crying the minute we walk into the room. He didn’t react this way at the Oakland location. I am now finding a new provider."

"I would give no stars if I could. I Scheduled an appointment with Dr Hoffman for my 6 months old baby but I was stuck in traffic and called the office to let them know I will be 10 min late. I was told it was fine but when we got there I was told we needed to reschedule because no doctor was available to see us. Staff was rude, unprofessional and not willing to help at all. There was no other patients waiting; I asked if they can check with the doctor if possible to see us after she was done with her patient, I wouldn't mind waiting since I came later and take my responsibility for that. Nothing seemed to be possible, all they would tell me was I had to reschedule for another day. I will sure do but it will be somewhere else, no one want to be treated like that when taking your kid to a doctor office. Bad experience, would never go there!"

"I brought my 9 month old son here after having disappointing experiences across the hall at another office. He had just reacted to peanuts a week prior and was in full body hives. Ms. Wineman, the nurse practitioner, took her time to get to know us. We left with confidence in our plan and an appointment with an allergist who turned out to be super helpful, too. Primary is now our go-to office. The staff are super caring and work to get you seen fast. Thank you, primary!"

"I absolutely adore the Primary Pediatrics office in Alameda! The staff is amazing from the front desk staff, to the nurses, to the doctors and NP! They remember my boys and always get us in as soon as possible when either of them are sick. I couldn't be happier here and I'm definitely going to continue coming here!!!"
