"I had an amazing time. I came early today On Thursday afternoon. There was pleasant music and an interesting documentary on the TV. It was nice and clean. Very easy to check in. I made my appointment online through the app. All I had to do was scan my phone with the QRC and scan my ids and I had a seat and I was seen 10 minutes early. All the phlebotomist there were really nice and very pretty. My phlebotomist was especially pretty She had very long eyelashes , lovely brown eyes and beautiful hair. She was like the princess of phlebotomy. She was super sweet and super nice ! It was amazing. I should have gotten her name but she was working and working it on the 7th of March. I don’t know. Maybe it was just a lucky day. She asked me if I got nervous about seeing blood. And I told her how I used to work in film and set production and I would always try to match the quality of blood realistically. I mostly do sci-fi and horror. But It was such a nice lovely appointment. It was quick. If you go on the website, I think it’s a little bit easier if you sign up online. The websites glitchy give it a few minutes. But as soon as I save my appointment, I received text messages and emails, and I also signed up for trials. I hope next time I come back my experience is just as pleasant as this one."
"Unfortunately probably no manager will read this review and try to correct anything.. just like with the rest of the comments. I strongly recommend to avoid this place at all costs. Rudeness and lack of any professional anything. Here is my story : March 4th, I had an appointment at 1PM. I show up and the door is locked. The check-in on the phone didn't work. Slowly other patients start queuing and we wait there in front of the building till 2PM. That is 5 people gathered in front of a locked door at 2PM. That is 1h waiting with an appointment. A lady comes out annoyed that we disturbed them. The guy in front of me is sent to print his confirmation because they don't scan things on the phone. My turn comes, I explain that the door was locked and she tells me in rudest possible way that she escorted somebody out at 1PM and didn't see me. We were 5 people outside. Unbelievable. Extremely rude, no apologies and no solution..she just marks me as a walk in and leaves me there to wait. Meanwhile I hear them talking to each other that they left the door locked. Explicitly. Since I live in Alameda I sometimes try to ignore what a horrible Quest office is there and how unbelievably rude the workers there are towards the patients and keep on getting back ... A place with a constant rating of 2 points over many years would have alarmed someone if anyone at Quest cared about this. There are public toilets better served and with better rating."
"Rating is based solely on the people. My first time here was today (01/09/2024)-with an appt. I will say getting early appts (for fasting etc) in a decent time frame here is difficult. That’s the only complaint I have. My experience was very good. I was called back very close to my appt time. I had a lot of orders which I didn’t realize before getting there. I am a very difficult draw for everyone everywhere. My veins are a major issue, getting my blood to come out is an issue and it clotting is an issue. I drink tons of extra water starting the whole day before to help with this. I can’t imagine if I didn’t. Today was a hard one. Two of the women here were working together to get it done and get my orders filled. They were very patient and kind to me (not everyone is) during such a difficult situation. They used hand warmers to help since arms were a no go. I learned about using the hand warmers before coming in now. I’ll be getting some of those for future draws. I have been to a lot of labs/hospitals and have been poked by many people at all skill levels, I’m a hard draw for them all. Neither of these women hurt me. That’s an important thing to mention. I would be totally cool to come back here especially with either of these two women. Unfortunately I don’t remember their names. I was in room two and the other woman may have been working in the first room but I cannot say that with any real certainty."
"Not bad at all. I missed my appointment by 15 minutes, but they could still see me. I only had to wait 5 minutes, with the option of receiving a text message if I waited outside. The blood draw just took a few minutes, and I was done. Very smooth. The phlebotomist was great."
"WAY too much hair taken for work required drug test - I basically have a visible bald patch :( I had a hair drug test for a job interview and this is the location that was organized by the company conducting the background check. The soonest appointment I could make was a week and a half out and seeing as I couldn't start the job until this was complete I decided to wait in the walk in line. I waited a total of almost 2 hours which was fine as I more or less knew this was what I was getting myself into. The staff were nice but clearly stressed, likely due to patience both walk in and with appointment that were subjected to long wait times. My complaint is not the wait but the HUGE amount of hair that was collected for a hair sample. My hair is fine but not sparse and it is shoulder length The cut was about 1/4 cm wide which was fine but runs across more than 3 inches of my scalp! She said she needed 100 hairs but I am certain she took at least 300-400 hairs because I have such fine hair. I now have a large and pretty noticeable patch of scruffy chopped hair on the back of my head and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. If you are getting a hair drug test and you even remotely value what your hair looks like I would definitely suggest going elsewhere, even if you are subjected to an out of pocket fee as I now have a large, noticeable patch of short cut hair/scruff I will have to live with for who knows how long. In addition I attempted to reach corporate to discuss the issue, I was told there is no one available and the line was disconnected, when I tried to get in touch with someone via the Chat feature on the company website they were non sympathetic and unhelpful. I have also included screenshots of what a hair sample is supposed to look like from Quest Diagnostics own Hair Testing and Specimen Collection guide for reference"
