"I enjoyed living here!! I lived at the Brazil heights for a year. I would have stayed longer if I could. As a student it was very convenient to Cal Poly SLO walking wise or bus route. In terms of the apartment, manager (grant) and maintenence are always ready to assist. The apartments ( or at least mine) was well kept and in good condition. In terms of maintenance, they are super quick to respond. I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a clean and nearby place to campus. It is gated so that is a plus for security. I am going to miss this place!"

"I have been a tenant here for a year and a half now, almost two years and we love these apartments. There are restaurants and a grocery store in walking distance. On-site management is awesome, friendly and quick to assist with any issues (which are rare) Clean and affordable laundry rooms. New security Gate. Overall great apartments for students and families :)"

"I have been a tenant here for about 2.5 years and I can most definitely say that things have been changing, and for the better. Previous management was unresponsive, slow, and indifferent, while current management has already solved many issues left behind by previous management. It’s nice to see management treat their tenants with respect, something I haven’t experienced with previous landlords."

"Maintenance never responds to emails. Never came to fix leaking toilet or broken shower doors that needed to be fixed ourselves. I don't think they hire anyone to clean the apartment before anyone moves in, and makes the previous tenant clean it. Surprise, they don't do a good job of cleaning because the walls were sticky, and the floor turned my socks completely black and glossy(ew). They promised to replace the sink before we moved in because it was cracked, and they didn't do that either. BTW, if you're moving in, make sure to check that the stovetop vent is actually connected, because I found out later on that it's actually blocked off and was just blowing the air straight to my face. Thin walls makes you hear both downstairs and upstairs neighbors conversations, even if they are just talking normally. There used to be a terrible ant problem when we moved in because of the large amount of gaps between the trims of the walls/flooring. The ants somehow got to the inside of the shower knob, so I presume there's a hole somewhere outside of the building that they were getting into. There used to be two laundry rooms, but then they never bothered to fix the 2nd one after it broke, so there's only two washers and two dryers for the entire complex. Oh, not to mention they had a broken alarm system in the laundry room that they didn't bother to fix for 6 months. Constant beeping day and night for 6 months. Good luck if you have crazy neighbors. Screaming fights at 3 am, someone throwing a fridge down the stairs, etc. Since it's close to the college, the tenants are definitely not the quiet type. You can be sure as hell that the management isn't going to do anything about that either. Just a warning for future tenants. Gets wild."

"Brazil Properties has been sued multiple times by former tenants, go ahead and google it. Slumlord sums it up, cant wait for my day in court so I can expose all the greedy shady practices that are the total norm for this company. His own people have agreed to testify against the owner after he fraudulently accepted a 700 propane delivery on my mothers account 10 days after we vacated, which we did due to MULTIPLE propane leaks which was causing my family to become ill. DO NOT rent from these people and do research on their past lawsuits."
