"This place fell apart after it sold, and 'sold out' to what can best be described as a slum lord who extracts as much possible rent as humanly possible out of their tenants; but puts zero back into anything resembling a duty or obligation to their tenants. We lived there for 11 years, and have much worse to say. Read California West reviews before signing."

"My husband and I love the Mira Vista apartments. We lived here a year and moved away for work and when thinking of coming back to the area it was our first choice because of its family friendly environment. The location is good, but Marcos makes the whole complex look and feel like home."
"This place is atrocious. Mira vista used to be one of the best apartment complexes in Atascadero. The onsite "manager" is non-professional and negligent. You can't get anything fixed. 90% of the time you never get a response. They don't do pest control at all. Which they are supposed to take care of. There is a CONSTANT ant and bug problem. Nothing ever gets replaced. They're supposed to replace the carpets every 8-10 years. Security is non-existent. There are numerous safety violations across the property. Hey California-West can I have a job. I mean you pay this guy and more than likely give him a free apartment, and buy equipment and vehicles for the maintenance. Yet he is never on site because he's always gone on side jobs and the equipment is always loaned out to his friends so nothing gets done around the apartments. That's a sweet deal"
"Absolutely the worst maintained dirty loud apartments. There is a horrible man on a blue tooth that speaks english barely says hes manager for 15 years? We will see how legal he is soon. They want 1400 a month . no a/c in units there is a small swamp cooler in all units . Pool has got a bad rating you can check Slo pool ratings online. 2 cases of staff from pool in 2015 and 2017."
