"EDIT: We eventually got all our money back after I realized that they had missed the 21 day legal deadline to send an accounting of the security deposit and contacted corporate and the Better Nusiness Bureau. Read on for the story: We lived there 4 years. When we moved out, they decided to refurbish the entire place on our dime. We should have gotten most of our security deposit back. But they made THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN ILLEGAL deductions from the deposit, to arrive at a bill instead. Then they sent this phony bill to collections. It appears to be a ploy to scare us out of demanding our deposit back. Also: when we moved in we had to get them to clean THREE TIMES because they kept leaving dead roaches in the kitchen cabinets, your water and trash bill will be very high because you pay a portion of water for the landscaping and their system wastes a lot of water, our mail was stolen for MONTHS, the gate was frequently left open for no apparent reason, the people in the office frequently changed and new people often didn't know what was going on, and they can't be bothered to paint the lines correctly in the parking lot which makes parking harder than it already is. EDIT: We moved out 8 weeks ago and are still fighting to get our deposit back. So far they have reduced the illegal charges down to where they admit they owe us money, but they say only $6 because they are still trying to charge us to refloor the whole place. If you move in here, take pictures of the whole place on move in and make a detailed list of all the existing damage. Keep track of when they start charging you for water and trash. After we moved out they claim it is 2 months in arrears, rather than one. Then when you move out, make sure they do a pre-move out inspection and insist on the initial estimate of charges. When you leave, they will try to charge for cleaning no matter what you do, which is illegal. So maybe don't bother to clean, but be aware that they will then take pictures of how dirty it is and pretend this is evidence of damage, which it is not. Take pictures of EVERYTHING on your last day. Then read up on California Civil Code Section 1950.5 and get ready to fight, because they will try to steal your money. Also, don't tell them if you are moving far away. Use a trusted local friend's address for the forwarding address. I think part of why they tried to screw us so badly was that they thought we were moving out of state."

"I am officially leaving Ashford Park after 3 years. Each and every staff has been super kind and helpful. I moved in Dec 2020 but decided to leave wanting a place closer to my husband’s workplace and a background for my little one. All my 3 years, the staff were quick to respond to any questions and work requests submitted. Definitely will miss Ashford Park and being able to take my little one to walk and the swimming pools. If you are considering to rent with them, definitely apply. You will not be disappointed."

"I wanted to take the time to send a huge shout out and thank you to Shyonna & Nina Chambers from the office staff. I recently relocated to Ashford Park apartments all the way from Atlanta Georgia. I drove here and had calculated that I would be here by the first but didn’t account for many mishaps that happened along the way. I ran into extreme weather conditions, extreme fatigue, exhaustion, and was put very behind schedule. I called the apartment office & Shyonna & Nina showed me so much grace. They were so compassionate, flexible, and understanding. They understood what I was dealing with and placed no pressure on me whatsoever to get there by my move in time. They extended my time and I will forever be so grateful to them. I arrived 3 days after my anticipated move in date and they welcomed me at the front door with open arms, warm smiles, and refreshments. They were so kind, so supportive, so encouraging. They made me feel right at home. The amount of care they showed me is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced or expected from complete total strangers. To me, this was a sign that I am in the right place. I am so thankful to these ladies for giving me such a wonderful welcome to the state of California. I am so happy to be here!"
