"I lived at Woodland Park for 5 years. The location and pet friendly policies(I have a rescue pit that other locations would not accept) are the only reason I stayed so long. There are a lot of barking/aggressive dogs around. I don’t walk in the grass here because so many owners don’t clean up after their pet. My dog was attacked 3 times by a neighbors unleashed pit. I reported the final incident to the office and even forwarded images of my dog’s injuries along with the animal control investigation number. Nothing was done and the attacking dog still lived on-site up until the day I left. My initial rent was around $2100 for a 1 bedroom. Woodland Park increased rent every year and the final cost was over $2700 a month. They raise the rent but do not make noticeable improvements to the old buildings. My windows were incredibly drafty and the screens fell out of 2 of them. I complained of sewer gas coming from my kitchen sink when I moved in. They sent a plumber to investigate twice but they never did anything to stop the smelly gas from coming up the sink. Eventually an office admin told me to use glade plug ins to cover the smell. Everyone should drive around the complex before moving here, the professional photos on the website do not accurately show the condition of many of the buildings. There are cars filling the lots and lining the streets. Parking is very difficult unless you get an assigned spot. I had to pay $200 a month for 1 assigned parking spot. I saw rodents twice in the laundry room and several times outdoors in the garage area. My unit had pests including roaches. I am a very clean person, but upon move in, I noticed several roach bodies around the empty apartment. I was willing to pay for pest control service but after initial inspection I was told that purchasing their service would most likely be a waste of money. The exterminator said the building was old and poorly sealed so there were lots of entry points for pests. Putting out bait traps and keeping the apartment clean helped a lot but never eliminated the problem. There were a high number of problematic neighbors. Several neighbors repeatedly parked in my spot the entire 5 years even after I asked them to stop. There were also neighbors who grilled and brought their open flame heater under the parking structure where I parked. Another neighbor ran a dog boarding business from her apartment and routinely had 10 or so barking dogs in her unit and around the lawn. I personally witnessed two violent crimes involving neighbors in my building. Very young unsupervised kids played outside year round past midnight. The kids yelled and ran up and down the apartment stairs. As a working professional it was stressful dealing with all of the neighbor issues. The neighbor they moved in above me smoked and hosted loud parties several times a week. The neighbors dog was untrained and aggressive and barked at all hours morning to night. They often had guests over who were intoxicated/under the influence and I had multiple close calls with party goers on my porch or lawn area that felt physically threatening. I called security and the office multiple times and they rarely addressed any issues. Security dispatch asked me to stop reporting because the neighbor often ignored them when they knocked on the door. The management office admins never let me speak to the actual manager. I do not believe the admins properly communicated my safety concerns."

"I was there helping my daughter clean up her late mother in laws apartment. While there friendly neighbors, and very concerned about their neighbor not answering her door, when I explained that she had passed they were even compassionate expressing their condolences for her passing, so I would say this is probably a very good place to live and seems like everyone gets along quite well."
