"Management changed in early 2020. David the new manager is horrible. Lied about the buyout offer after we decided to move out (we gave our notice after hearing about the offer, no response from the manager), construction during wfh situation in the pandemic which caused distress during work hours (they stopped it for a few weeks, probably no permission), irresponsible and irresponsive (calls and phone calls didn’t reach manager until I cc’ed the property management company owners), flew a drone illegally into our Neighbors window and harassed them when they were out of town (neighbor was warned about being towed though he had permission), had their pet dog running in the corridor to impress a girl he was with (building has a strict no dog policy). He's a fraudster and bully, I work at UC Berkeley and my neighbor did too. If we, employees of the university are treated this way, I can't imagine how the students will be. Or probably it’s for only foreigners since we usually don’t follow up with legal complaints. BEWARE and stay away!!!"

"I have lived here for 10 yr. There are good and bad for sure. First of, you can rell any on this web site that say "the renovations are so nice," they are definitely fake... none of the renovation's are for anyone who already stay here, just redoing unoccupied unit, nothing for me but a bunch of constant all day water shut off. Noisy neigborhoid from Shattuck which a major street. Since current mgr David took over, its been a pretty rotten place to live even tho the location is great and I can park off the street. But, good luck if I need anything from mgr now. We do have laundry, but 6 washers and dryers to share with 2 big buildings worth have other people and too machines are always braking down so good luck with that. I usedo like it here but would definitely not recommend it any more! I will include some pics too so u can see, not the wonder land of heaven like in owner pic's!"

"All the years living here has been wonderful. University Park is my home and the management team makes it a point to retain the homeyness. I will say, lately theres been some construction happening and noises can be heard throughout the property, but it’s great to see the improvements taking place."

"I had a chance to tour the property today, and I must say the new renovations were very contemporary. The staff there was very kind, offered snacks/refreshments and the GM David was kind of enough to navigate a self-guided tour request as a result the pandemic. I am a professor at UCB and will be considering housing at University park as soon as I hear back from the school."

"I stayed here in a 1BHK for 10months in 2019. Pros: It's a nice cozy place. The room was carpeted and nice. The bathroom might seem a bit small. Good closet space. Perfect location - It's close to Safeway, restaurants, campus, shops etc. Alejandro is very helpful and always willing to help out if you have any maintenance issues. The terrace offers beautiful views of the bay bridge and the hills. Laundry is in the Apt complex and easy (though the dryer can be a pain sometimes) Cons: The only problem was the noise. I was on the side facing Shattuck and it used to get very noisy. Sometimes the shared spaces can be a little dirty. Carpets are difficult to maintain especially if you face the main road cause they get dirty fast. There was no dishwasher in the unit."
