"I came on Feb 22 to emergency for chest pain. The emergency staff was excellent and really busy with all the patients! I was transferred upstairs to Room 388B for continued care! The nurses and doctors were all so nice and making sure I had everything I needed! When signing out the lady was so helpful and getting my new medicine! The staff was amazing, thankful for their help and kindness shown to me! We became friends! I was released on Feb 23 around 5 PM. God Bless you as you have blessed me!! Thank you!! Linda Okerstrom"

"I recently had open heart surgery on 01-12-24, and spent 6 days at Orange Coast Memorial Center (Fountain Valley) in the ICU/ Telemetry units. I was treated so well and with such kindness and compassion. It truly made the difference during a difficult time. Dr. Hargrove and her entire staff are absolutely incredible. I can’t say enough about them. Orange Coast is very lucky to have them. I also want to thank the nighttime nurse I had in the ICU the 2 nights following my surgery. Her first name was Mikayla. She clearly stood out as an outstanding nurse. You rarely come across people as exceptional as she is. I never had the chance to thank her and express my heartfelt gratitude for how she treated me."

"My husband had surgery yesterday. The staff has been great. The problem is the CRAPPY rooms! There is NOTHING in between the walls to help buffer the noise from other rooms! You can hear every word anyone says! My husbands pain level were very high and it was hard for him to sleep. When he finally fell asleep he was woken up for blood draw around 5:30am (we knew this and weren’t upset about that. What upset us was less than 30min later a construction crew came to work on the room RIGHT NEXT DOOR!!! They were so loud we could hear every word they were saying! After telling a nurse she asked them to quiet down. Then they started scrubbing or doing something to the wall the that is attached to his room. The nurses were great about getting it stopped so that I appreciate! BUT WHY IN THE HELL ARE YOU HAVING CONSTRUCTION START IN THE HOSPITAL NEAR PEOPLE WHO ARE RECOVERING FROM SURGERY AT THE BUTT CRACK OF DAWN????? Also who designed these rooms to have the sink in the WORST place they could find?"

"Came in due to pain due to my Crohn’s disease. I was attended to & seen pretty quickly. MOST of the nurses were very nice (except for one named “Maddie” or “Madeline” who kinda made me feel like a junkie because I CAME BACK to the ER 2 days after being discharged because they discharged me without providing any pain medication/management & when I mentioned this she said something along the lines of “well we can’t just give out painkillers” & just the tone of which she said it rubbed me the wrong way & came off unprofessional which is a shame because she had been pretty nice to me 4-5 days prior but this is another story for another day). They performed a colonoscopy on me & during said colonoscopy I had an asthma attack, even though I told 3 different people ahead of time that I have asthma. I arguably walked out of that hospital in worse shape than when I walked in. Not providing any pain management post discharge is my biggest gripe, it has caused me to miss several days of work & of course the uncomfortable pain itself from the fistula they discovered. I give 2 stars instead of 1 because again, most of the nurses & doctors were very pleasant. Edit: a representative from the hospital reached out to me & sincerely apologized about my experiences & vowed that they would address some of the issues I faced. I find that a 5 minute follow up phone call like that can go a long way. It was much appreciated!"

"I just had surgery and spent the night at this hospital. Everything was perfect, the nurses and staffs were very caring and professional until I was about to leave for home. The house keeper came in and start cleaning the room. I saw she used a brush, poured some cleaning solution to clean the TOILET then used the very SAME BRUSH to clean the SINK. I could not believed my eyes for what I just saw. How unsanitary this was for a hospital?"
