"I have done both the Downtown and the Midtown tour with this company. I enjoyed the tours very much. The organizer is a very knowledgeable person who has a Master degree in food science. The Downtown tour consists in 5 different stops, 2 stops for appetizers, one for main dish, one for coffee and one for desert. Besides very good food we also visited downtown and learned a lot about the city. The Midtown tour also has 5 stops for appetizer, than coffee, tapas, pizza and then desert. Besides food we visited the murals in Midtown and learned a lot about Sacramento."
"OMG, our Midtown tour exceeded our expectations! Dawnie, as our guide, was fabulous. She was a wealth of information about food and Sacramento history. We learned a ton, and have lived in the area 35+ years. She didn't just talk to us, she engaged. She took interest in each of her guests. Every stop was perfectly executed. Each restaurant was ready for us and very welcoming. The diversity of choices was sublime, without being eccentric. We know we will visit many of the restaurants again. Dawnie truly enjoys her craft, and we walked away with full bellies and the belief we received top value for our dollar."
"Went for our fourth Local Roots Food Tour in September. We love them! All of the guides are amazing -- informative, personable, and very knowledgeable. Dawnie is our favorite! Such vibrant energy that is infectious. I highly recommend the tours. The food is always enjoyable as are the stories of the region that accompany them. We've had multiple generations on the tours -- from us baby boomers to millennial children and a gen Y visiting niece. Everyone has a good time! Come hungry -- leave FULL and happy."
