"As the primary option for mental health care in taft, they get away with too much here. Their doctor left and they never informed us so when I went to get a refill from the pharmacy, they had to fax the doctor for more. Not knowing that the doctor left, the refills never came through so I called college community services. They told me the doctor left and that the new doctor won't prescribe him the medicine he's been taking for 9 years until she sees him. I asked for the soonest appointment. It's a month away. So now, my son is out of his anxiety medicine that he's supposed to take daily, and they won't do anything about it. Screw this place. Go somewhere else if you have the option. ::Update:: A year later and the new doctor is TERRIBLE. First off, she tried to say ADHD people can't get addicted to stimulants. I can't believe someone in her position at a mental health facility could ever say that. While the medication affects people with ADHD different, addiction is still possible. A freaking Google search can tell you that. Right after she said that she talked about how she will open up the pills(she talked about how she is also ADHD and takes the medication) and microdoses throughout the day and how she will tell her husband she's going to take her medicine and he knows to expect her to be zoned out. Red red dang flag for addiction if you ask me. Next, she always spends an unnecessary amount of time talking about things that don't matter. Not even to my son, just to me. She spent 20 minutes telling me what she was doing for Thanksgiving. She refuses to fill medication if you don't see her every single month. That means she gives you one month of medication and then an appointment one month away. If for any reason at all you cannot make that appointment, you don't get your refill of the medicine you're supposed to take daily without stopping. All you get from the nurses is "she won't fill the medicine if you don't see her." We live out of town and my car broke down. We couldn't make today's appointment. Now, he doesn't get his medicine. I just can't with this place anymore. I found out a few weeks ago that Westside family health Care has telehealth services for medication. I called this morning and moved to my son up there and never looking back. Forget this place."

"My one year anniversary is coming up at the end of this month and I just want to say thank you to the community and to our staff. To our staff for making the changes we needed to make to help the community trust us and to the community for allowing us to share what we know about mental health and substance use disorders. We are not perfect, but we are trying our best and I hope if you ever need us, you feel confident you can come in and see us. We want to help you and if we can't, we want to help you find that help. Come by anytime and ask about our services."

"This place provides a vital service to the community. The staff are very friendly and everyone that works there is dedicated to helping their clients. Though the outside does not look extremely inviting, the inside is very welcoming. They also do very good with children. Really a great place."

"The woman who did our assessment interview was very rude and condescending. I recommend taking your child anywhere but here. Staff does not seem to care about their clients or the work they are doing."

"The Hispanic women at the front desk were always rude and each visit started with them ignoring me, dirty looks and a sharp "who are you here for". My "therapist" had to cancel my session twice and it took 2 months to reschedule (forgot me). For unknown reasons I was set up with a different "therapist" and had to start the healing process all over from scratch. During my assessment session I was informed CCS was going to start charging me $120 a session, I told Kristina that there was no way I could afford to keep coming and that this would be our last session. She assured me I would not be charged and they just needed more information to wrap things up. I just received a bill for $835 for 2 sessions. $750 for ONE assessment appointment, Basically I was set up, LIED to and then charged $835 for 2 hours of their time. I would highly recommend going somewhere else for mental health, CCS has caused more damage than good and should be investigated."
