"Melissa is a kind, generous, well experienced and knowledgeable in caring for horses and teaching horseback riding. Our daughter started lessons when she was 6 and wanted all things horses. Melissa gently introduced her to her "boys" and my daughter was able to learn and grow in her knowledge and love of horses. She also gives students ownership over the horses like they belong to you and that ownership feeling makes all the difference in learning and growing and caring for these amazing animals. We visited Ojai with my two boys 10&8yr olds and they were both a bit hesitant to ride horses at first yet after the session was done they were both in love with Melissas' Boys (her horses) It truly was Melissa's calmness, patience and care for her own Boys that made this session so magical and had them both overcome their fear and truly appreciate the experience of riding the horses. Thank you! When I asked my 8 year old to rate the experience from 1-5, he said "Off the charts!" So highly recommended!"

"Seriously one of the best sessions I have ever had! Michelle’s knowledge and kindess is something to definitely write about so I am! I got to ride and get to know Levi, my horse and what a horse he truly is. The establishment takes you away from town and puts you straight in the country! I am definitely using this again!!!! Highly recommend Western Trail Rides for all lessons beginners or not! Always something new to learn! Adults and kids, I highly recommend!"
