"During my orientation visit, the person there said that they didn't diagnose or treat ADHD. In hindsight I should have taken that as a sign, any 'mental health' clinic that arbitrarily excludes entire disorders on the fear that someone with drug seeking behavior will show up isn't a mental health clinic worth investing your happiness in. I was misdiagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder and put on antipsychotics immediately. I'd thought they'd been helping at first but the feeling didn't last, and disappeared the moment I began to doubt. Any attempt of bringing up these doubts was questioned until I gave in, and my words from weeks past were used as evidence against how I was feeling then. Be warned: this isn't a therapy office, this is a psychiatrist, their job is to diagnose and prescribe and that is all they do. It's been years now, I had to move to WA to find a therapist who would listen to me and took how I felt seriously. ADHD funny enough, turns out that the two disorders get misdiagnosed as each other a lot, and even though the myth that ADHD disappears when you enter adulthood was debunked YEARS ago, it's still being used to deny adults the help that might actually help us."

"I'm having to change what I had posted here 4 yrs ago. I've been asking for help from this clinic for my brother as he's gotten worse with behavior towards me as I'm the working force in my household to care for my household members. I've personal told his mental health Dr we needed help and I've written letters and during one of his appointments my elderly mothers needs weren't addressed as she sat in with A appointment with him. At the end of his appointment I almost had to take her to the ER, she's 89 and can no longer care for him. Then I'm told by him that they made him sign papers he didn't understand or want to and they do that with him every visit. I've been trying to get him into another care living place or to go to his sister's for over 2 yrs now. I'm very dissapointed in this mental health care for him."
