Our walk-in health center is open to all established Open Door patients, with no appointment needed. However, we cannot accept anyone who is not already a patient of Open Door. Please note that the Acute Care Center cannot see patients for work-related injuries or illnesses, sports physicals, or medication refills. For life-threatening conditions, please call 911 or proceed to the nearest Emergency Department.
At Eureka Community Health & Wellness Center, we offer specialized training programs for our healthcare providers, such as the Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) training program and the Longitudinal Pediatric Clinic training. These programs aim to enhance patient care, improve diagnostic accuracy, reduce healthcare costs, and provide comprehensive healthcare services for children.
Additionally, our Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) residency program equips newly graduated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with the skills necessary to practice as primary care providers in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or other safety-net settings. The program offers support and professional growth opportunities during the transition from student to provider, ensuring excellence in patient care.

"100% the most unprofessional and condescending appointment I've ever had. I'm not even mad. I'm just awestruck at how absolutely absurd that appointment was. I was hesitant to even stay on the call for more than 30seconds while the health care specialist huffed and puffed with audible breathes of annoyance. It was like talking to an upset 15 year old gir who's mother was asking her to clean her room.When I said this isn't for me I'm sorry but I don't think this is going to work out.she then started to argue with me telling me I don't understand. "Some of the doctors, nurses & staff are excellent, some are not. There has been some improvement in the last year. I believe that is due to specific doctors that have joined the practice. Open Door Clinic owns this medical facility & several others. It has been my experience that Open Door overall is less focused on providing quality care & more focused on getting as many people through the Door as possible. Open Door puts heavy loads on their doctors & medical staff in all their facilities. Most of the poor quality of care stems more from how Open Door structures their facilities. It can take a while to get an appointment sometimes."
"A week ago my friend requested her medical records to apply for housing for college and they said a week until they can receive her forms. She gave them more than a week and they still managed to be unprofessional and not give her the correct paperwork and request that she waits another day."
"I get my blood drawn here fairly regularly. I've always had great phlebotomists, which is necessary. I can pass out during blood draws. The equipment here seems new and I've always gotten help with my needle fears. Receptionists are very kind. A very comfortable wait area and food restrooms, the building always looks very clean and smells nice."
