"Nurse Practicioner Chkurri and the staff at the Eureka VA clinic are the absolute worst medical staff I have ever encountered and should not be able to practice medicine. Patients beware and steer clear!"

"Hi, I work for the VA. I'm reaching out to make those unaware of the new expanded additional VA facility in Santa Rosa. The new facilities expand the flood space for receiving and the number of staffers has doubled. The new Santa Rosa Clinic is on Challenger Way in Santa Rosa. The Brickway Clinic, also SR, remains open for business. If you are happy with Brickway continue going there. The new facility Challenger, expands the capabilities of enhancing treatment options over Brickway. Of course the main Northern California VAMC in the City of San Francisco remains available for the latest and most care intensive treatment augmented by staff including MDs from UCSF. Please be aware if you are an Honorably discharged Veteran there is no need to be homeless, to suffer alone. Make no mistake, you won't have folks with questionable immigration status holding up the the line. Your staff is also highly selected federal employes. Only fellow Americans'. Come sign up for benefits. Many Veterans' for whatever reason are alone, I mean alone. No family, no friends no solace. Please come home to us. We are here and always happy to see you."

"It took me 10 months to get my initial appointment because they kept cancelling on me. It would have taken longer if I hadn't explained this to the HSU VA rep that visits the school campus every so often. I didn't have a nurse or doctor for a year after my initial appointment. The front staff are rude and incompetent. I physically went in to schedule an appointment and called a couple days before my scheduled date only to find out that there was no appointment scheduled. Whenever I unfortunately need to call them, I am treated like I'm in boot camp again. That being said, the one time I saw my doctor in five years she was really nice and knowledgeable. My nurse that I currently have has also been helpful. I understand that the doctors and nurses here are overworked and underpaid but the way this place is run is unacceptable. I hope I am the only one that has had this experience here. I am beyond frustrated with this place."

"For the most part not very good. No doctors for gen med for last yr or so. Any that did come left shortly after. Program people don't research things very well most of the time and workers don't know as much as some of the patients. However some of the people who answer the phones know more about the workings of the clinic than the medical workers. Have been here 5 yrs and going to VA since 1986 this is the most unorganized problematic and doesn't know much clinic I have ever been to. The hospital at San Francisco is not much better and if you take the shuttle it takes about 10 hours. Being kind by giving it 2 stars. YUCK!!!!"

"I can see how people have difficulty navigating the VA system. It can be frustrating and confusing. With that said.....once you are rated and “in” the system it gets a lot better. I have had wonderful results with this VA clinic. They are close to my house and very helpful and kind. I’ve received multiply services from them all with positive results. I also know how to navigate the system so that helps too. Good luck and don’t get discouraged people."
