Best Western Plus Carriage Inn

"I received horrible customer service when the room service lady entered my room and let the door open while I was undressed. I made a complaint to the Assistant General Manager. Her name is Janet. She stated she would not do anything for me. I have now made a legal complaint and reported with the California Department of Consumer Affairs. I will post the complaint number for anyone to verify as soon as I receive it. The current complaint number I have is with the Best Western Corp office. Ticket # CR814069, I spoke with agent John, for those who want to verify this information. Anyone reading this has any further information on who I can reach out please tag me in your response. I hope this never happens to anyone. Angry and embarrassed......"

"This is a great hotel. The staff are excellent. Sometimes a little slow on getting your amenities but it's understandable with how large of a place it is. They have security so there's not any yelling in the middle of the night. I have had a really pleasant stay here. On this business trip I've been to so least 8 hotels and this has been the most pleasant trip I've have had, even with the more top rated ones"

"Please do yourself a favor and find a different place to stay. This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. Was here for 2 nights and couldn't get any sleep. The room was cold, and the heater didn't work. Seems like this is a party place because there were people going in and out all night. All you can smell is weed, and I mean really bad. I can honestly say that I will never stay here again."

"The hotel is just fine if one is just looking for a place to sleep. Everything is "acceptable" but not outstanding, with a few minor issues here and there. The 2 queen bed room is smaller than average best western rooms, we can barely find room to unpack our luggage without moving the two chairs. The bathroom looks clean. No shampoo and body wash (it ran out before we came in, no one has refilled it) The carpet looks outdated and a bit dirty that I don't feel I'd want to walk on it without my shoes on. TV remote has no battery. The lamp has an outlet that doesn't work. There's no breakfast. Parking is $12/day There are two elevators which were helpful The only reason we chose this hotel was that it's about 8 miles from universal studios. And the nightly rate is a little bit cheaper than other hotels close by. I've stayed in many best western hotels and have Platinum membership. Overall I feel the quality is on the lower side of the best western hotels. Although I think I might stay again if I were to visit universal studios again, as there aren't many good options nearby."

"Room was spacious and clean. It was located on the second floor which had no elevator, would have been difficult for elderly people and who had luggage but I was OK (no luggage at all). The hotel has no bar or restaurant but there is a Denny’s restaurant right next to the hotel and it is open 24/7. TV in the room has bunch of channels which make you busy. It was convenient for me because it was close to my workplace. Check in/out process was smooth and quick but I wish the reception area staff were smiling or be more pleasant."
