Kenney Grove Park

"The location and condition of the campsites are great. However, not all the restrooms are good. If you are not in a trailer with your own toilet consider going near the day use area. The shower building has limited restrooms and gets busy."

"Kenney Grove Park campsites are located among a forest of large oak trees just outside the agricultural community of Fillmore. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring, and grate. The campground has sites with full hookups, water & electric hookups, and dry sites (no hookups). Some sites have low tree branches, so be careful. The sites are either on dirt or gravel, no hard sites. The Campground is old and dated, especially the amenities that could do with a big makeover. Be warned, the showers are not free, you have to pay for them. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host."

"Looks like an abandoned park. The new Ventura reservation system didn‘t work properly and you can just do it online -> what about foreign visitors without internet? On the information board on-site was stated, that just online payments are allowed. But the necessary registration code was missing -> hence the sites are just bookable online with an additional reservation fee of $10 even if already on site without a reservation -> in my point if view this is not acceptable. The online booking took me 5 retries. The website just stepped back without any error (in the end I found that they rejected my email address!, but no error at all)"

"This used to be a beautiful park. We used to called Narnia. However, lately I’ve noticed that the park is abandoned by the authorities and is not receiving any kind of maintenance. The trees are very old and heavy on the top so they are braking and they become a hazard for kids. Hard to park an RV without facing difficulties with the long branches. There are weeds all over, trash and bathrooms are not clean at all, in addition of being outdated. Host used to visit and he is not around anymore. Probably frustrated also. What is the county doing with the money we still paying for the spots reserved….I wonder!!!! How about closing this park and spending money to make it safe and allow people enjoy a safe and beautiful place again."

"Our camping site was hard to get into even though we did notify them of the length of our RV, but the area itself the trees. The ambiance is very pretty. There's also a very large lawn area and the sites are far enough away that you don't sit on top of somebody."
