Reviews
"Found this beautiful nature walk today after several visits to Oak Tree Mountain. It's located right next to Los Rios parking lot. Beautiful scenery all around."
"A very nice place to visit with family and children! They have small booths selling food and snacks outside, and there are clean restrooms. The parking lot is pretty big with lots of spaces but would recommend coming earlier in the afternoon to avoid wait to enter. The hiking trails are easy to navigate and the views are very pretty! A very relaxing stroll for the most part and lots of different trails available for you to explore. I would come here more if only I lived closer!"
"For some reason when I try to review the restaurant it provides Oak Glen. Went to the Apple Butter Festival with the family for the first time. The BBQ place was the only eatery which meant you stood in line for an hour for a sandwich. Not worth the time spent in line but was good. Everything was over priced. Was expecting more crafty tents. The girls made candles which was entertaining to watch them walk a mile haha The time spent with the family was worth the whole day. Of course we'll do it again next year since we know what to expect."
"- Bring some snacks to munch on while sitting on the floating dock. There is a BBQ stand by the picnic/park area but I believe hikers/guests can find better food elsewhere (you’re not missing much if you skip it). - Go early if possible. Parking lot gets full pretty fast, especially after 11am. - best when temperatures are ~70-75 degrees F. - early to mid November for fall foliage - grab a map and it shows which part of the trails are steep"
"I highly recommend visiting Oak Glen Preserve, a beautiful 909-acre nature preserve in the western foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. The preserve is home to a variety of natural features, including ponds, streams, wetlands, oak and pine forests, chaparral, and willow woodland. One of the highlights of the preserve is the Southern California Montane Botanic Garden, which features a variety of native plants and flowers. The garden is a great place to learn about the local flora and fauna, and it's also a beautiful place to simply relax and enjoy the scenery. Another popular attraction at the preserve is the Children's Outdoor Discovery Center. This interactive center offers a variety of educational activities for kids of all ages, including nature hikes, scavenger hunts, and arts and crafts projects. In addition to its natural beauty and educational opportunities, Oak Glen Preserve also offers a variety of recreational activities. There are several hiking trails to choose from, ranging in difficulty from easy to challenging. The preserve is also a popular spot for picnicking and birdwatching If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the beauty of nature, I highly recommend visiting Oak Glen Preserve. It's a great place to visit with family, friends, or even by yourself. Make sure to bring some cash as there is no entry fee, but donations are welcomed!"
